1) What's Painted Homepage?
Painted Homepage is one of the first experiment of world-wide painting. The main page of the site is divided in small blocks (5x5 pixels) that everyone can paint at pleasure. The aim is to create a painting thanks to fantasy of people from all around the world. The process is quick, completely free and we don't require any personal information: first try then trust!.
There is only one limitation: you can paint a maximum of 25 blocks per day. This is necessary to make the picture being the result of the work of the largest number of people.

2) Do you trace the painting evolution?
Yes, a snapshot of the painting is taken automatically every week. Just click on Weekly snapshots.

3) What about you?
My name is Emanuele Guadagnoli, I'm 23 and I live in Italy, near Florence. I'm an electronic engineer, but I'm still studying for specialization at the university of Florence. Among my hobbies there are web design and programming; in my personal site (www.cicoandcico.com) you can find more information about me, as well as some useful, successful PHP scripts.

4) What about this site?
I began to think about a web-painting site in 2004. I still don't know if the idea is original: I looked for similar projects but I didn't find anything. However, at that time I didn't have enough experience to realize such a site and the idea was abandoned. In the autumn of 2005 I heard of a boy, Alex Tew, who made a lot of money selling the pixels of his homepage. Suddenly, the old idea I had about web-painting came to my mind. The two things could be joined together.
I realized the site in January 2006, but after some time I abandoned the idea of pixel advertising. Now the project is completely free, but manteinance is not, so if you want to support us you're welcome!

5) How can I support this project?
This project, as well as my scripts (CcMail, CcCounter and the others), is completely free. You don't have to pay anything to use them and you won't ever find spyware, adware or any other advertisement. However, making them takes a lot of time and money, so if you enjoy them you might:
  • Visit some of our sponsors: it's surely the easiest way.
  • Spread the word, putting one of our buttons in your website or talkink about it in the web:
